What is happening to us

and why are you here?

Awaking from the Spell

We often say we’re “living in strange times.” It can sound throwaway, but it matters — because these are gripping times. This pace of life has a hold on us like never before.

In an age of hyper-speed, virtualism, and constant consumption, the deep human struggles — for connection, creativity, purpose, and spirit — have only intensified. Genuine autonomy has become frighteningly hard to find:

1 in 4 people suffer from mental or neurological disorders. Only 14% of Americans feel very happy. Half feel lonely. 75% believe they’re not living up to their creative potential.

Beneath it all runs a core feeling: I am not enough. I am not doing enough.

We inherit painful narratives and act them out through protective patterns. Our systems run on conditional worth — proving, earning, climbing, attaining — to fill an invisible void. Go somewhere, get something, become someone, often distracting us from what we’re unwilling or un-aware enough to face.

This isn’t about blame. It’s about noticing the medium we’re painting with: the content of our lives. I don’t mean content the instagram sense. We react to thought, emotion, sensation — rarely pausing to see where we’re responding from.

It’s a closed loop. Suffering, as the Buddhists might say, is the absence of space. Without space, inner space, we live trapped in the paintings of our mind, forgetting the painter,
side-stepping our own agency.

The cost is profound — to our hearts, minds, and nervous systems.

So how do we reclaim our lives? How do we unburden our spirits? How do we return to the fullness of who we are — and access our power beyond the stories we’ve inherited?

This work explores those questions through lived discovery.

It’s an invitation to step back. To embody the space in which life unfolds. To reconnect with context, not just the ongoing content. To discover what was never missing, only waiting to be realized.

I call this journey Origin-ality: Discoveries in Wholeness and Self-Expression on the Backwards Path.

By turning “backwards” — inward, or inside out — we ask:
What does it mean to be original?
And what becomes possible when we live from there?

I’m grateful you’re here. See the pillars (the four P’s) of my approach below.

A dynamic Approach

  • Parts

Meet the inner voices that shape your world — and invite them into harmony. Relieve the critics, retrieve the exiles - and much more…

  • Process

Shift out of rigid outcomes and expectations — learning to live in insightful conversation with life’s most substantive developments and decisions.

  • Presence

Awaken from the spell of distraction, addiction, and constant attention fragmentation. Reclaim the focus and contentment inherent to you and the unfolding moment.

  • Purpose

True purpose is not found outside of yourself. It is discovered and refined when the previous conditions are sincerely engaged. To those that have — all shall be revealed.

You’ve traveled far

(well, at least a few scrolls).

Respect.

At this point, it’s time for the ancient ritual known as
‘talking to a real person.’
